The mountains are calling and I must go. - John Muir
MY HIKE REVIEWS
Background: My first hiking adventure dawned on a crisp, bright autumn day in 2011. I was about to "tramp" (as the kiwis say) the 3-day Routeburn Track in the stunning Otago district, South Island, New Zealand, with one of my best friends, Bob. We were beginners, novices, amateurs – but we made up for our lack of experience with overzealous enthusiasm and extraordinarily above average organizational and planning skills.
It was the hike that would hook us for a lifetime.
Happy trails!
